Privacy PolicyShelf Safari: Triple Sort

Effective and last updated: October 9, 2026

1. Who we are

Machinez Design LLC ("Machinez Design", "we", "us" or "our") develops Shelf Safari: Triple Sort (the "Game"). This policy explains how we handle information when you use the Game or contact us about it. Machinez Design LLC is responsible for the personal information we process for the purposes described here.

Advertising and purchases: the Game is intended for players aged 13 and older. It uses Google AdMob for advertisements and Google Play Billing, through Unity In-App Purchasing, for optional real-money purchases of boosters, lives and a one-time Remove Ads entitlement. Advertisements can appear after every three completed levels, when you leave the result screen. Optional rewarded ads offer an automatic reshuffle through Help or the jam prompt, up to two successful reshuffles per level attempt, or three on Super Hard levels. A separate, one-time failed-level rescue adds 60 seconds and an automatic reshuffle. These rewards do not add inventory boosters. Remove Ads disables automatic end-of-level ads only; optional rewarded ads remain available, with the same help limits. Protected age records retained from earlier test versions continue to disable ads, real-money offers and online sign-in, and provide equivalent limited help without an ad.

Progress is saved on your device by default. Eligible players may separately choose Google Play Games sign-in for a private progress backup and an online leaderboard. You do not need a Machinez Design account or Google sign-in to play offline. A cloud backup does not establish ownership of Remove Ads; Google Play verifies that purchase separately. We do not receive your complete payment-card or bank details. Developer preview distributions use demonstration ads and cannot substitute a simulated purchase for a real store transaction.

2. Information we handle

Progress and settings on your device

Completed and current levels, saved board state, coins, lives and recharge times, boosters, reward claims, event progress, collected cards, selected shopping partners, tutorial state, language, audio settings and privacy choices. This version does not ask for an age or date of birth and does not assign an adult age to new players. Earlier test versions may have stored a broad age-group choice locally; we preserve its protective treatment. That choice is not included in our diagnostic logs or sent as an age value to an advertising provider. These records let the Game remember your progress and prevent duplicate rewards. The local leaderboard also stays on your device. Authorized review access uses a separate local profile and does not make purchases or change the normal save.

Timed life rewards

Claiming a daily calendar reward automatically starts 15 minutes of infinite lives. During this time, failures and restarts do not spend your stored lives. The Game stores the reward's expiry time to show its remaining duration and prevent repeat grants. The countdown continues while the Game is closed. If you choose progress backup, the same expiry time is included in the private Google Saved Games snapshot; restoring it does not start a new 15-minute reward. This reward is not a subscription or a purchase.

Optional gameplay usage logs

The Usage Data setting controls reviewed local diagnostic events, such as level starts, wins, failures, booster use, reward results and language. No Firebase Analytics or other online gameplay-analytics service is connected. This setting does not disable information independently needed by advertising or payment providers. Our custom event fields exclude your name, email, payment tokens and advertising identifiers.

Advertisements and privacy choices

Google AdMob may process an IP address and approximate location inferred from it, device and app information, ad interactions, performance diagnostics and privacy choices to deliver contextual ads, support security and prevent fraud. New installs receive Google's teen age treatment and a maximum ad-content rating of G; eligible earlier test profiles retain teen or more protective child treatment. Personalized advertising and remarketing are disabled. We remove advertising-ID and Android AdServices tracking permissions from the Game. These protections do not mean that an ad request contains no technical information. The Game checks the rewarded-ad completion callback before providing a continuation or shuffle. We do not give a reward for clicking an advertisement.

Real-money purchases

Google Play processes payment using the purchaser's Google account and chosen payment method. Through Unity IAP 5.3.1, the Game receives product identifiers, purchase status, receipts and purchase tokens to verify and deliver purchased boosters, lives or ad removal. A hashed fulfillment record prevents duplicate consumable rewards; it is included in optional progress backups, but raw receipts and purchase tokens are not. Remove Ads ownership is checked against verified Google Play purchases, separately from any restored progress. This integration uses platform-native Google Play Billing, not Unity's Direct-to-Consumer payment services or an additional Unity player account. We do not collect payment-card or bank details, and do not offer an external checkout or subscription.

Optional Google Play Games progress backup

If you choose sign-in for Save Your Progress, the Game uses Google's Saved Games service to store a private, game-specific snapshot associated with your Google Play Games account. It includes your level and best-level record, coins, lives and recharge times, boosters, reward claims, event and partner progress, collected cards and pending card reveals, selected shopping background, tutorial state, active level attempt and hashed consumable-fulfillment records. A hashed player identifier, save timestamp and format version support account separation and synchronization. The snapshot excludes Remove Ads ownership, raw receipts and purchase tokens, payment-card or bank details, email addresses, passwords, local age/privacy choices and reviewer inventory. It does not back up every device setting. Google stores Saved Games in game-specific application data associated with your account; the Game does not request general access to your personal Drive files. After you opt in, the Game attempts to back up changed progress and can restore a successfully saved snapshot after reinstalling or on another device signed into the same gaming account. An internet connection and successful synchronization are required; a leaderboard score alone cannot restore inventory or progress that was never backed up. Different saves may require you to choose which complete save to keep. The Game retains local recovery copies before replacing progress or resolving conflicting cloud snapshots.

Optional Google Play Games leaderboard

The local leaderboard stays on your device. Players may choose Google Play Games sign-in to submit their best level and view an online leaderboard. Google handles authentication and may provide the Game with a player identifier, gamer name and avatar. Google associates the submitted score with that gaming profile and displays it according to the player's Google Play Games visibility settings. Its SDK also processes service analytics and diagnostics. We do not request your email address, friends list or server authentication codes. Progress backup is a separate choice from opening the leaderboard. We do not maintain a separate Machinez Design player account or our own progress-storage server. Online sign-in is not offered to protected earlier test profiles or payment-free review profiles; playing offline does not require signing in.

Information you send to support

Your email address, the contents of your message and any screenshots or technical details you choose to provide. Please do not send passwords, complete payment-card numbers or information unrelated to your request.

The Game does not request access to contacts, precise GPS location, your camera, microphone or personal photo library. Your device or app store may separately back up app data under its own settings and policies.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We use information to run and save the Game, provide optional private progress backup and online scores, deliver and measure advertisements, provide rewards and purchased content, answer support requests, protect against duplicate transactions and abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Where European or UK data-protection law applies, the applicable legal basis depends on the processing and the player's age: providing the requested service or purchases, legitimate interests in proportionate security and support, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where legally required. We do not ask children to consent to personalized advertising. Optional local usage logs are off by default and are not required to play.

4. Providers and sharing

We do not operate our own player-account or progress-storage server. Optional cloud progress is stored through Google Play Games Saved Games. Relevant information is handled by these providers:

We may disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and security, or during a company transaction with appropriate protections. We do not sell personal information for money or use cross-context behavioral advertising in the Game. Our current integration does not add other mediation networks. Advertising-provider processing remains subject to its privacy practices and applicable children's privacy rules.

5. Your choices

  • Usage Data: optional and off until you allow it. Change this in Settings → Usage Data. This controls the Game's local diagnostic events, not the independent processing by advertising or billing SDKs.
  • Advertising: this 13+ intended-audience version does not ask an age question. It requests teen-treated, non-personalized ads only after checking Google's current privacy-message requirements and whether ads can be requested. Previously declared teen profiles retain conservative under-age consent treatment. Protected earlier under-13, undisclosed, invalid or incomplete age records disable ads. Where Google requires privacy options, Settings → Ad Privacy lets you review them. Necessary technical processing can still occur for contextual or limited ads.
  • Purchases: buying is optional. Protected earlier test profiles are not shown real-money purchase prompts. The Google Play confirmation screen shows the localized price and payment method before payment. Manage purchase history, parental approval and refund requests through Google Play. The Game does not charge automatically or renew subscriptions. Existing verified transactions may be recovered and fulfilled without repeating payment. A successful, optional progress backup may preserve your current consumable inventory. This is separate from restoring verified Remove Ads ownership through Google Play; a cloud save cannot grant that entitlement.
  • Progress backup: choose sign-in on the optional Save Your Progress prompt or open that option in Settings. Choosing Play Offline stops future private-progress synchronization; it does not erase your local save, delete an existing Google backup or sign you out of the separate leaderboard. You can manage or delete game-specific Google records in Google Play Games or your Google account. Stop cloud synchronization on your devices before deleting the Google backup if you do not want later synchronization to recreate it. Declining backup does not prevent normal play.
  • Online leaderboard: eligible players choose whether to use Google Play Games from the leaderboard panel. Manage profile visibility, automatic sign-in and deletion of game-specific records in Google Play Games or your Google account. Declining sign-in does not prevent normal play. Your Google account controls are separate from the Game's local settings.
  • Local progress: clearing the Game's storage in Android settings removes the local save, settings and app-private recovery copies. Your operating system's backups, Google Saved Games and Google's purchase records are managed separately. Previously backed-up progress may be restored if you later choose synchronization with the same gaming account.

6. Retention and deletion

Local saves and app-private recovery copies remain until you clear the Game's storage or they are removed with the app; operating-system backups may retain a separate copy. Recovery copies contain the same types of progress data as a cloud snapshot and are stored on your device, not on a Machinez Design server. Local diagnostic logs are managed by the operating system or testing tools. Support correspondence is retained for as long as needed to resolve your request and satisfy applicable legal or dispute-resolution requirements.

The fulfillment ledger stays with your save to prevent granting the same purchase twice. Google retains advertising, privacy-choice, store, gamer-profile, leaderboard and optional Saved Games records under its policies and your account controls. You can delete an individual game's Play Games data or your gaming profile through Google Play Games and Google account controls. Turning off backup or clearing local app storage does not automatically delete Google's records. No separate online gameplay-analytics service or Unity D2C order service is connected in this version.

To request deletion of information held by Machinez Design, email djenad@machinezdesign.com. Include the Game's name and enough information to identify the relevant request or record. We cannot retrieve or erase a local save remotely. We may retain narrowly limited information where the law requires it and will explain that when applicable.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and opt out of qualifying sale or sharing. You may also have a right to appeal a decision or complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact us using the details below. We may request proportionate information to verify your request. We do not require you to disclose unrelated sensitive information.

8. Children's privacy

The Game is intended for players aged 13 and older, not children under 13. The current version does not ask for an age or date of birth; the intended audience is not a verification of any individual player's age. We use Google's protective teen ad treatment and a maximum ad-content rating of G, with no personalized advertising or remarketing. Protective settings from earlier tests remain in place: stored under-13, undisclosed, invalid or incomplete age records disable advertisements, real-money prompts and online sign-in; previously declared teens retain conservative under-age consent treatment. Protected profiles receive equivalent ad-free help, limited to two Help/jam reshuffles per attempt (three on Super Hard) and one separate failed-level continuation. We do not build children's behavioral advertising profiles, provide public chat or request precise location. Normal progress is local by default; eligible players must separately choose optional Google progress backup or an online leaderboard.

Parents and guardians should supervise optional purchases and enable Google Play's purchase authentication and parental approval controls. Parents may contact us to request access to, correction or deletion of information they or their child have provided to Machinez Design. We do not use support messages to build children's profiles. Please do not send a child's personal details unless necessary to resolve a request. If we discover information collected improperly from a child, we will investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.

9. Security and international processing

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to limit access to information and protect it. Local saves and recovery copies use your device's application-private storage controls. Google Play Games encrypts service communications in transit using HTTPS. Optional Saved Games are private to the associated gaming account and game, rather than public leaderboard entries. No storage or network service can guarantee absolute security.

Machinez Design is based in the United States. Support, advertising and payment providers may process information in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on applicable transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses or a recognized transfer framework, and the safeguards described by our providers.

10. This web page

This policy page does not add analytics scripts, advertising trackers or cookies. The website host may process standard request information, such as IP address, browser details and access time, to deliver and secure the page. If you follow a link to another provider, that provider's own policy applies.

11. Policy updates

We will update this policy when the Game's features, providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes affecting your choices will also be communicated through the Game or another appropriate channel. A new consent decision will be requested where required.
